We all had a marvellous time at our teddy bears picnic alongside our Nursery friends and teachers. It was so lovely to bring our teddy bears into Nursery to share lovely party foods. It was incredibly hot outside so we were incredibly lucky and sat under our gazebos.
What a great year we have shared. We now have just one more day left together in Nursery!

In Nursery today we have all been having a great time taking part in sports activities outside in the super summer sunshine. We raced our friends whilst jumping over hurdles, we competed against our family group friends throwing the javelins, and also tried to get bean bags into hoops when throwing from a distance.
What a great time we had outdoors. We were all exhausted after our sporting challenges as it was so hot! Well done children!
Have a great weekend!

Over the past couple of weeks we have been caring for our caterpillars in Nursery. They soon grew very big and spun cocoons. This week all of the beautiful butterflies emerged from their cocoons. We then decided to set them free outside in our sunny school garden.
It was very exciting to see all of our butterflies explore and fly around the incredibly sunny and warm school garden. We hope you all enjoyed caring for the caterpillars and butterflies.

Today Nursery all took part in their sports activities alongside their family group leaders. What a marvellous time we all shared together in the glorious summer sunshine. The races went incredibly well and everyone tried their real hardest to go as fast as they could. We took part in the egg and spoon race, the running race, the bike riding race and even the quoit race.
Thank you to all of our families for their continued support. We are now spending our last two weeks together in Nursery before we end the Nursery year. I’m sure we are all going to be doing lots of fun things together during this remaining time.

Our caterpillars are all fast asleep in their new cocoon homes. They are now hanging from their butterfly pavilion and we are all very excited for when they emerge as butterflies.
Keep popping back for more butterfly updates.

Today in Nursery we have been developing our letters and sounds skills. We sounded out lots of different minibeast names using lots of the letter sounds and tried really hard to copy each of the letters down onto the whiteboard. Well done Nursery! We are all very impressed with your efforts today!
Keep up the great work!

We had a very big surprise when we all arrived at Nursery today. The caterpillars had began spinning their cocoons ready to transform into beautiful butterflies. Some of the caterpillars are still very busy spinning their cocoons.
Once all of the caterpillars have spun their cocoons we will move them into the large butterfly pavilion to continue following their progress. This is incredibly exciting!

Over the past two weeks we have been caring for and observing our baby caterpillars. Although they aren’t babies any more. They are fully grown now and beginning to hang from the top of the pots. I’m almost sure the caterpillars will spin their cocoons over the weekend ready to transform into butterflies!
We will post another update on Monday!

This week in Nursery we have been practising forming our numbers to 10. We all counted to 10 and further and then we practised writing our numbers in trays of flour. This was a fun way to learn how to form all of our numbers to 10 correctly.
If you have a tray and some flour at home why not try this with your Mum’s and Dad’s, as its a fun way to further your learning. Well done everyone you all worked incredibly hard!
